Maggie Braun
Maggie Braun is the heart and soul of Let's Find Family!. She has been teaching genealogy research for the past 10 years and researching her own family roots for nearly 40 years. Maggie speaks at local genealogy conferences and lineage societies on a variety of topics. Her current research mainly focuses on Post-Civil War Southern United States.
Background
Teacher first, genealogist by accident
Maggie holds a B.A. in General Studies (History, Ethics, and Humanities) from Valdosta State University and a M. A. in teaching Social Studies, Secondary Education from the University of Southern California.
She taught high school history and art in Arlington Texas and coached UIL Academics and National History Day where she took students to State-level competition for many years.
She is a genealogist by accident (there's a fantastic story about this) and vocation. In her spare time, she is a sewist, quilter, basket weaver, painter, photographer, and art supply hoarder….I mean…collector.
Finally, she is a proud Texan by the Grace of God!!

If Maggie is the heart and soul, then Walter Braun is the firm foundation of Let's Find Family! He serves as technical consultant in all things nerdy.
He has gently guided Maggie in how to host and craft this website. He's been patient at every turn and has provided the best shoulder to cry on when Maggie, who “only changed one thing” broke the entire website….twice.
Most importantly, he brought Maggie back to Texas as fast as possible!
