Welcome to Let’s Find Family! By accessing this website, purchasing a class, or enrolling in a course, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully..
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using Let’s Find Family! and its associated services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions and all applicable laws and regulations in the State of Texas.
2. Course Enrollment & Payments
2.1 Access: Upon successful payment, students are granted a non-transferable license to access the purchased course or class for their individual use only.
2.2 Refunds: We believe in transparency. Each course includes an introductory section detailing exactly what is taught.
- Refunds will be granted only if the student has not yet accessed or viewed any instructional content within the first module (excluding the introduction/roadmap section).
- Once a student has accessed the first instructional module, all sales are final.
- Because our resource library tools and handouts are provided free of charge, these cannot be used as grounds for a refund request after the course has been started.
3. Intellectual Property & Course Sharing
3.1 Ownership: All curriculum, videos, handouts, checklists, and instructional materials are the sole intellectual property of Let’s Find Family!.
3.2 Prohibition of Sharing: Your account is for one person only. You may not share your login credentials with any other person or entity.
3.3 Redistribution: Any recording, copying, redistribution, or selling of course materials (including handouts) is strictly prohibited.
3.4 Enforcement: Let’s Find Family! reserves the right to immediately terminate access to all courses and community spaces without a refund if account sharing or intellectual property theft is detected.4. User Conduct & Community Standards
4.1 Safe Learning Environment: We are committed to a supportive, encouraging learning environment. Harassment, hate speech, aggressive behavior, or disruptive conduct of any kind will not be tolerated.
4.2 Right to Remove: Let’s Find Family! reserves the right to remove any student from a course forum, community space, or class—regardless of payment status—if their behavior is deemed disruptive to the learning experience of others. No refunds will be issued for students removed due to conduct violations.5. Limitation of Liability
5.1 No Guarantees: Genealogy research depends on the availability and survival of historical records. While we teach the skills and processes to find ancestors, Let’s Find Family! does not guarantee that a student will achieve specific results or discover any particular ancestor.
5.2 Research Errors & Discoveries: Let’s Find Family! is not liable for errors made in a student’s independent research, nor are we responsible for any emotional distress resulting from family discoveries made during the research process.
5.3 Liability Cap: To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total liability of Let’s Find Family! to any user for any claim arising out of these terms shall not exceed the actual amount paid by the user for the specific course or class in question.6. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Tarrant County, Texas.
7. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or a prominent notice on our website. Continued use of the site and courses after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
